Way to not explain anything about the third part, including what part is the code. |

An extra hint for the third puzzle has been added to today's opening post. |

Still doesn't explain which part is the password, basically "hey look at some letters and numbers" |

Yup, that's still not helping! I solved the the equations and got the answers and played with them around but still not working. |

I more or less know what to do for 2-3, but I'm not exactly good with the algebra itself. also, algebra puzzles aren't all that fun in Layton, and this isn't an exception |

The letters represents numbers. See what word you can make by using the letters. If the problem with algebra, then all I can say is I used a calculator to solve the equations. |

Quite possibly the least fun I've had in a holiday event. The Egg puzzle was probably the only decent puzzle so far. |

I guess this shows that the event maker is either obsessed with Math or lacks the sense of challenging fun puzzles. or a student who thinks this is fun for students, which clearly I'm not any more. |

I'm mainly speaking for myself as someone who hates logic puzzles, maths etc, but I feel like it's a very one-sided kind of way to do an event. There's surely a better way to do something like this that doesn't rely on the participants having an intensly logical mind to complete it all. Even something akin to 4 Pics 1 Word type of games would've been more fun, at least it's visual, still requires a bit of thinking and logic and doesn't require a Rosetta stone to decipher. Plus there are a host of other issues associated with things like this. One being timezones, I mean by the time i'm up in the morning, everyone has solved it anyway so there's never a chance someone like me will be able to "win" this anyway. And on winning, I don't feel like having a singular winner is a good thing for this. Badges are fine and dandy but i'd like to see everyone who puts in a little hard work earn something. Props to the admins though for organising an event in the first place, stuff like this is always good for a community, but just some constructive criticism or words of advice for next time maybe? |

Right now I feel so freaking stupid that I can't even solve the first puzzle <.< |

Yeah but if you're not first, then what's the point? At least as far as being rewarded goes, unlike a sprite competition or minigame competition where you have a few days to do something that uses your skills, this is all dependent on if there's someone smart enough to decipher these awful puzzles at the given time they're posted, so it's all shoehorned and not really all that community oriented. |

Wait, does this mean you don't get a reward if you're not the first one to win an egg? If yes, then I guess I'm just wasting my time, so I'd quit... |

You get a badge, which is a fine reward for participation I suppose, I just wish it was actually fun to earn. |

Well, a badge is all I'm looking for. I'd just like to know if the fact that I only found the Yellow Egg is enough to earn it, so I can rest in peace. |
