This sounds like fun. If someone would be interested in recording the matches, this could be fun even for people who don't have a Wii U or 3DS to play Smash. (Sadly, that includes people like me.) I agree that the event would be more successful if all of the matches took place on the same weekend. If someone isn't available to play their match and doesn't notify their opponent within 24 hours, the match should be forfeited. I know time zones can be tricky, and some people's Internet connections are more reliable than others, but that's my two cents.

i can play either weekend, and i should be able to stream it too. the issue is if i or zero kirby spectate via in-game suicide, it could cause lag issues between the other players (since lag is caused by differeing pings, if 3 players have about the same ping and one has a radically different ping, that one will lag out the game). there should be a way to spectate friends in spectate mode though.

okay, so barring the inability for friends to spectate other peoples' matches, i think we ought to do streaming like mit said. would anyone have problems with it if we went ahead and set the tournament to start on the 28th of this month?

I can't make the 28th or 29th, or April 11th. Smash Wii U for me has to be in-between those weekends, or the weekend after the 11th. I only have a Wii U at one of two houses which I switch off every week, so I guess it's an issue for me. ...unless you allow the 3DS version to be substitutable, in which I can play at any time.

I have work on weekends (and I wasn't that great at setting aside time for the last tournament either) so I have to sit out of this one.

I [i][b]might[/b][/i] join, but I'm not really competitive and rarely play any games online. So if I join, don't expect anything grand as I typically just play with the A.I. set to 5.
