It's [b]Outer Space[/b]. Think of the heroic anthems and blaring overtures from Star Wars/Trek/Fox. Maybe try a dark, mysterious tune that calls to mind deep, dark space. If you're feeling super adventurous, listen to the Planets Suite by Gustav Holst. Your music can sound other-worldly or stick to a more classical premise. It just better make me think of [b]outer space[/b]. Yeah, I think this needs an extension to next Sunday. My two jobs, finals and Christmas are absorbing most of my time. I wanted to enter this myself, so consider the deadline 11:59pm on December 11th.

I agree. As so few people are interested, I think an extension is needed.

I definitely don't want to get in the habit of indefinitely extending competitions like we did back in 2010, but this one should be extended... especially since there's a chance I might finish up my entry, which has taken a back seat to finishing up my ROTW by Christmas.

Yeah. If I ever win another one of these I'm passing the torch onto someone else since I really don't have the time to organize a competition.

What's the state of this competition? I'll try to make something if you're willing, but I know its been a while since the comp was started.

Well, I don't see any reason you couldn't do something. In general I don't think we should extend competitions indefinitely, but since a lot of us are busy with Christmas, let's wait until December 31 to start the final voting, if that's OK with everyone participating in this.

Yeah, the holiday season definitely made it impossible for me to enter, which I guess is what happened with everyone else. I'll be sure to enter the next one.

Well, as Guiena hasn't yet shown up to announce the closing of this contest, plus the fact that there is still only one entry, makes me want to quickly toss in my own version of the Metroid Escape Theme (which is an alpha version for a possible Metroid project that I'm thinking of) just so that there's SOMETHING to compete against the current entry. I know what happens if zero or two (or more) entries are submitted, but a single entry should mean either the contest should be scratched (no contest - but the only entrant gets to pick the next theme as if he won) or extended until another entry has been made. Besides, it's been nearly a week since voting was due to start, and still there's no official word from Guiena as to the results of this contest. Looks like I'll have to send off a PM to sort this mess out. Edit 2: There, I've sent it. Now, all we have to do is wait for the official word from Guiena.
