All the usual rules apply, yadda yadda yadda, but for the people who haven't participated before I'm going to post them here:
THE TIMER PAGE wrote:
1. You have two weeks. 14 days. 336 hours.
2. Your entry must be posted in the topic on MFGG by the deadline.
3. Teams are allowed only if it is a team of two people, comprising of a spriter and a programmer.
In that case, both receive the badge. Otherwise, you are disqualified.
4. No previously made engines, whether made by yourself or someone else, but you can use some lines of old code, based on "fair use".
(For example, you may re-use a dialog box script from another game, but you can't build your game using Hello Engine)
5. Feel free to document your work, using a camera, live broadcast, audio ecording, screen recording, twitter-like log etc.
6. Feel free to sleep, eat, drink as much as you need. You do not need to program the full 168 hours!
7. Games are restricted to Nintendo (related) franchises only and original games.

now now, there is no such thing as a bad theme.....well...except for that time i tried using "directions and 2 buttons"

this IS a good theme, has alot of potential to churn out some interesting minigames,

just because i question my own ability to use the theme, does not make it a bad one. ;)

Its quite similar to the "boss fight" theme, only requiring a series of bosses. that you fight one by one.

theres one thing im still not getting. It says you cant use previously made engines. Is that just for game engines. Like i can use engines/libraries i made for animations or collisions, but i cant use 'game' engines.

As I recall, this same theme spawned my premature attempt at making an RPG last year... and the results weren't exactly pretty. Good luck guys.

nope,
its just beyond my abilities...
.....well.....I CAN do it....just.....not in the timeline, if i had a month, i could have an entry....
boss fights take me awhile to pull off, thats all.
