Sorry for the wait, folks. Before we begin, congratulations to Dustinvgmaster, and the rest of the Top Fivers for getting that far with their great entries! Everyone else who entered did a swell job with their games, as well. Nice work everyone!
And now... for the buildup.
[Theme Countdown]This page has a countdown. The competition's theme will be hidden until the countdown ends. When it ends, the theme will be revealed, and after you read it and think of a good concept, gather your resources and hop to it!
Quote:
- You have one week. 7 days. 168 hours.
- Your entry must be posted in the topic on MFGG by the deadline.
- While teams are allowed, only one person will be allowed to receive the badge. Please decide who gets it well in advance to avoid disputes.
- No previously made engines, whether made by yourself or someone else, but you can use some lines of old code, based on "fair use".
- Feel free to document your work, using a camera, live broadcast, audio ecording, screen recording, twitter-like log etc.
- Feel free to sleep, eat, drink as much as you need. You do not need to program the full 168 hours!
- You may use characters from any video gaming related franchise.
Like the last competition, you will have
168 hours to work on your minigame. From
May 29th to June 5th (just in time for E3). No exceptions, no extensions, so use your time wisely!
Of course, all standard MGC rules will apply. Joining late is okay as well, as long as you think you can manage to fix up an entry before the deadline.
As always, be free to document your progress through a blog, a video log, anything like that.
Stay tuned for the theme.
