Congrats to Chaoxys, who came in 1st place for the second time in a row!

I have decided to make this comp's theme Paper Mario, which means you could take any ORIGINAL enemy or character from the Paper Mario series as a whole and sprite it in any style. (Thanks to Chaoxys for the new idea)

RULES:
*NO ENEMY/NPC RECOLORS! The only exception is if you include a preview of the same sprite in a different color scheme in the corner of the sheet or something.
*I suggest adding animations, mainly because that'll help your chances of winning.
OK, now that those are out of the way, you have a week to finish. Get spritin'!

Ooch. I can barely sprite a custom style. If I can learn how to sprite and sprite PM64 well I'll enter this.

Whoops. >.< thanks for pointing that out.

So just to clarify, I can like, take Goombario for example, and make him into a SPM or NSMB style? Also, if it's an original enemy into any style then how will it cover the paper theme itself?

Hmmm, it honestly seems like you are going for 2 different themes here, you might want to narrow it to one.

How about something like the first part where we sprite things in the PM64 style, but instead have it so people instead have to give them a paper feel in general, like maybe they could make a Mario sprite that looks like Mario was drawn in pencil or something. It's still paper themed, not as open ended, and it could allow for some interesting entries since people can make new styles.

EDIT- Another idea would be to use your second theme idea which would be, if I'm understanding what you wrote, to take a Paper Mario exclusive character/creature and sprite it like it was from another game. This would also be interesting as it would require the spriter to remove the paper qualities from the subject. For example, making Mimi (from SPM) not have such a blockish head and stick arms.

Yes I know that the eyes are ugly. But is this too close to the original to actually qualify?
The ruffles were probably the hardest part. The body won't be too much of a problem, especially since I don't have to draw any limbs :P

Now to make those mini-crystal things and a few frames, and this is complete. Although the eyes still need redoing. Also, his collar looks like it's too far to the left :/ I'll probably fix that.
