-TOPIC IS MADE WITH PERMISSION-I'd like to congratulate Tobie and the three who participated in the last competition (one being me).
Now let's all get to your assignment! Presenting the theme for this competition *drumroll*:
A MINION'S BOSS
Your job is to create a minion's boss by taking out a generic Mario enemy and using its species to make a Leader Boss (as suggested by Chaoxys). For example, you get a regular Goomba and make it into a larger one with Boss-y features.
Rules/Guidelines:• No pre-made sprites. All sprites and submissions should be made within the competition period.
• 8-bit or 16-bit can do. No drawings, all pixels should be made one by one, or filled up using fill bucket when lineart is done.
• You may make bosses that is already an official boss of a Mario enemy just as long as their looks/concept are different.
• Be as creative as you can. No one says a boss has to be bigger than Mario or is bigger than the enemy itself.
• Make sure it actually looks like a BOSS.
• Have fun!
There aren't any style limitations, but it has to be a sprite. Animation isn't necessary but it will higher your chances of winning. You maymake more than 1 minion-to-boss sprite. Also, it has to be a Mario enemy, not from other games. The leader boss you do must be based from an official Mario enemy and should not look the same if it has an official one.
This ends on August 20, 2011, which is two weeks from now! START and GOOD LUCK!
