Lovely sprites. You know, at some point I'd like to hear the overall plot and what not of SMC, like what kind of bosses you have planned and what not.
So alot of the game was planned out, but it wasn't as deep as yours, I must say.
The game was a mix of SMW with the new Mario games of New Super Mario Brothers and Super Mario Galaxy. The whole map would be one world (which when I'm ready I'll post sprites of that) along with having a secret world set in a land very similar to the rainbow road courses in Mario Kart. Each world would have a castle containing a Koopaling, but each fortress in the worlds would have bosses from earlier games, such as some below:
As you can see, Giga-Lakitu, Gooper Blooper, Petey, and Big Bob-omb were all selected to be fortress bosses. We tinkered with some ideas with other ones, but never set in stone. Some ones that we discussed were Trylcyde, Eyerok, King Boo, Chief Chilly, Baron Brr, and Major Burrows. Another idea was to create some new bosses specifically for the game, but we never finalized any designs so it's a waste talking about it.
From what you could tell from the Mario sprites, we had at least three new powerups. The Monkey Suit, The Porcupine Suit, and the Bob-Omb Mushroom
The Bob-omb Mushroom transforms Mario into the shape of a bob-omb. During this time he would be slow, but immune to most enemies' attacks. However, if he were to be hit with fire, his fuse will light, having only 10 seconds until it explodes, turning him back into small Mario. If one were to find water or ice, the fuse will unlight.
The Porcupine Suit had the ability to curl into a ball, and roll around. This allows them to smash into enemies and blocks. It also the ability to scale walls, allowing players to reach new heights. Similar to the pink ability in Sonic Colors
The Monkey Suit would allow Mario would allow higher jumps, faster climbing, and the ability to swing on platforms with his tail.
Anyways, I've added Wiggler along with updating the Boo sheet. I'll continue talking about the game when I keep adding sprites. I intend to do finish a majority of what I started here.
