The Flooded Tower by Q-NovaThe Flooded Tower is a groovy new minigame made by Q-Nova. In this game, you control a Goomba who has been exploring a cave full of treasure. During his explorations, he stumbles across a mysterious clock tower that he had never seen before. After the Goomba enters, however, this tower begins doing what any mysterious clock tower would do - it begins filling with lava! As you might guess, you're trying to escape from this burning tower before this little mushroom guy becomes toast! Along the way, you try to gather as many coins as possible without bumping into the various other enemies that are less concerned about escaping from a rising tide of lava. As with most Q-Nova games, The Flooded Tower uses graphics that are mostly custom-made, which is refreshing to behold in this era of fangames that still often look quite similar to one another. Plus, the graphics are of a high quality and do an excellent job giving Q-Nova's games a distinctive identity. This game has three levels of difficulty, which increases the replay value. The hardest difficulty setting is indeed quite challenging, but it never becomes unfairly hard, and I found myself wanting to keep playing until I was able to beat it. Q-Nova is one of MFGG's top up-and-coming fangame makers, and we're obviously looking forward to seeing what awesome things he does next.
