Yeah, I don't Even...
For our project i am starting to run out of ideas for the ghosts of my project, so i would like to ask you(the readers) if you will help out, I would appreciate any and all ideas for this project. You'll get full credit for the idea.
Edit 1: A while ago I thought of these ideas for ghosts: Spoiler:
-Floor/Wall Boo(Its a boo that hides in the Floor or Wall depending on its type, when your not looking it will follow you, if it gets close it will charge.)
-Bomb Boo(a black exploding boo.)
-Boo Swarm(a swarm of 30 small boos that try to ram luigi.)
-Chair(its a possesed chair. It follows you when your not looking at it and stops moving when you look. if hit with fire it burns away. if luigi touches it he gets hurt.)
-Psuedo-Item(It is a ghost that is disquised as an item. Like coins, powerups, gems, chests, or switches. One luigi gets close, it changes to its true form,which is a White Ghost.)
-Psuedo-Plant(Its similar to Psuedo-Item, but looks like plants instead of items. And the true form is Green not White.)
-Poltergeist(You don't see it but it throws objects from the room at you like plates, books, pots, lamps, and vases. When there is nothing to throw you'll see it. When it's visble, it will try to punch you.)
-Spider(a ghost the looks like a spider. While it hides, it's glowing red eyes are only visible. Found in forested areas. It waits for luigi to be under it, then it jumps down on it.

I have an idea: Why don't you guys work together to make one awesome Luigi's Mansion based fangame? It could be something like this: The intro is the same as Luigi's Labyrinth, but Luigi discovers that above there are mansions that have magical barriers, preventing escape. The top would have more "possessed" enemies while the labyrinth itself would have more ghosts.
Also, here are some suggestions: Fister-Ghosts that look like a pair of fists. They try to squash Luigi by locking on to him. However, they are weak in this state, so you can suck them up. Sir Jack-A ghost that has claws, a Victorian suit, and a Jack-O-Lantern head. He is a mix of Spring-Heeled Jack, Jack the Ripper, and a Jack-O-Lantern. He first tries to pounce on Luigi, then spins around. You have to use a nearby fire element on his head to stun him, then suck him up. He would be either a Portrait Ghost or a Boss. Lantern Spooks-A ghost possessing a lantern. If you get near it, it drops. Lantern Phantoms, which are a stronger version, instead chase Luigi. Sunny-A hot-headed Portrait Ghost, she died of skin cancer due to sunbathing too much. She is first found sunbathing, distracted from Luigi. If you use either the Water or Ice element, she will freak out and turn into a skeleton on fire. She chases Luigi, but occasionally stops to relight the fire. Suck her up when she is doing this. Jason-A Boss, he is found in a straight-jacket, smiling. If you suck up the straight-jacket, his body will reveal to be a shadow and then the room is in complete darkness. Luigi walks around, and the is attacked by the now giant Jason. His giant fists will attempt to smash Luigi, which will be stuck in the floor when they miss. You have to then suck them and then launch them at Jason. Three hits and he's weak for sucking. However, ghosts will spawn during the battle due to the darkness.

Thanks for the idea Goombaking, there are a few reasons that I don't want to combine the games. But, I already have alot for my game planned out, Second the sprites wouldn't match, and Third here is alot of different concepts that would confuse the players. But Thank you for your opinion.

I think I did good on the Grabber Ghost and the Mice, I think the Elemental Ghosts came out nice, I fixed the ShyGuy Ghost, and the Flying Fish come out ok, but I think i did horrible on the bats. Ken on the other hand did amazing on the others.

For your idea of the Fister-Ghosts, i had a similar idea, I call them Berserk-Ghosts, they charge at you like a charging chuck(from smw) and when they stop you have a chance to stun them. They'll have 60 Health.

Would anyone mind trying to draw the Garbage Can Ghost in the same style as the other ghosts, due to the fact that I don't Think I'm Able to get it right.

I had an idea, although I guess it's more of a gimmick ghost than an enemy. Basically it's a balloon like ghost that starts small, but when you suck it up, it inflates, resulting in it being stuck on the mouth of the vacuum. While it's on the vacuum, your jumps will go higher and you fall slower. This could allow for some cool vertical sections, like a clock tower or something, idk.
Also, maybe throw in some classic Mario ghosts here and there, like the goomba ghosts, or dry bones or something.

I'm thinking that should have an inventory system in the game, so for example, if you pick up a mushroom it will go into your inventory to be able to use for later.
The Menu System would have a Map, Ghost Statistics, Medal Statistics, Inventory, Treasure List, and a Hint System.
I'm thinking that should have an inventory system in the game, so for example, if you pick up a mushroom it will go into your inventory to be able to use for later.
The Menu System would have a Map, Ghost Statistics, Medal Statistics, Inventory, Treasure List, and a Hint System.

And some examples for items would be a Koopa Shell, an Inviso-Shroom(which would make you temporarilly immune to ghost's attacks).

That's a pretty awesome story. Though are you still going to fight King Boo?
He's still part of the story, and yes, you will still fight him(he will have more attacks than in the first Luigi's Mansion).

For the second boss, I'll let you guys choose it, note please keep within these parameters: -It must be forest/woods themed due to the second area being in a forest. -It must be a ghost Other than those requirements, have a field day.
PS. If your able to, please post a drawing of your idea for reference.

A haunted tree would be pretty cool. You could make it look like a dark, twisted whispy woods.
So it could be a very big tree, maybe on fire with blue flames, who uses its roots, branches, bluefire and lightning to attack, and you need to use the water element to weaken it when it uses it's roots to attack, but there are roots blocking the tree in certain areas. I just randomly came up with that idea base off of your suggestion.
I might use it, but I want to see other peoples responces first, if I don't use it in the second area as the Main Boss, it'll become a secret boss that you won't know it's there unless you find a certain collectable.
